WDFW Range Map

The Salmo Pack’s range straddles the border between Washington, Idaho, and Canada, and they are known to spend significant amounts of time in British Columbia.

There was one radio collared wolf in the Salmo Pack as of 2016, with the family totaling 3 wolves. The family had at least five members at the end of 2017.

As of the end of 2018, the pack had three wolves and was not counted as a successful breeding pair for the year. Surveys in the area continued in February 2019. The 2019-2020 winter survey confirmed at least 4 wolves in the pack, but no pups were confirmed.

A minimum of three wolves were counted in the 2020-2021 winter survey, but unfortunately the pack did not have a confirmed breeding pair once again.

Current numbers: 3
